Duplex Micro Lofts

Location: Asbury Park, NJ

The challenge with these duplexes was to achieve an expected level of functionality within a relatively small square footage. The project is located in Asbury Park, New Jersey with ocean views. On top of circulation, the stair was used as a means to create and access additional storage. The unique furniture solutions and hospitality package were prepared by Michalski Studio; creating singular, turn-key micro-living.

MS was also asked to develop the corridors to the units. The design is a transition from the historical Art Deco elements of the building and the more contemporary unit interiors. It makes use of subtle while rugged materials and more delicate hand-painted wall coverings.

The work was done in collaboration with the uniquely creative development group, Smith.
