Prospect Heights Brownstone - Brooklyn, NY
This brownstone located in a Landmarks District in Brooklyn had been largely untouched for many years prior to purchase by the owners. The project was approached in three phases.
The initial work involved interior renovations and updates that made the house workable for the family. That included a complete gut of two bathrooms and the kitchen. We added a new powder room and a laundry room on the top floor as well a new mudroom space at the garden floor entry.
Phase II entailed an enlargement to the garden floor that created a new interior dining space that connects to the kitchen through the existing exterior masonry openings. Maintaining the exterior brick was a priority to connect the new and old. A complete landscaped renovation of the backyard took place as part of this phase as well.
Phase III included the rear facade renovation and the addition of a deck to the dining room addition. Navigation through the preservation approval process in phase two forced us to delay some of this work and make some decisions including paint color, etc. that was updated in phase three.
PHASE II - CONSTRUCTION SLIDESHOW
