Formed in 2008 by principal, Matthew Michalski, MSA is a versatile young firm located in New York City prioritizing diverse project types in a variety of styles. What is constant is the approach to each project. Each time, with new energy, MS seeks to maximize a balance of design and quality while considering the project’s value. This energy is maintained from the project’s concept development through its delivery. MS is committed to collaboration, fostering lasting relationships and meeting client expectations throughout the process.
Matthew formed Michalski Studio Architecture in 2008. Providing leadership on each project through team building and maintaining project organization through each phase of design and construction, down to the resolution of complex details, he ensures success and Client satisfaction. Prior to creating the firm Matthew served as an Associate at Gray, Watt & Partners, managing and growing the office from a four to twenty person staff. Over his decade long tenure they developed projects ranging from large scale, high-end residential in Western Canada to mixed-use developments nationally. Working on demanding, high-end residential and retail at Naomi Leff & Associates early in his career, allowed Matthew to begin honing his sensibilities of proportion and detail. Matthew is a registered architect and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from The Pennsylvania State University in 1995.
Christopher joined Michalski Studio in 2012. Through development of the firm’s project visualization, design and design documentation he serves as the key Project Architect and allows for cohesion from the projects inception to its realization. Before joining MS, Christopher was a Project Architect at Fogarty Finger Architecture Interiors, working on large scale commercial renovations, new and renovated multi-family residences as well as high-end residences. With his start at Allen + Killcoyne Architects, he was able to gain significant practical hands on experience, which continued over the next eight years, working on projects ranging from New York City apartment renovations, retail stores as well as numerous co-op and condo amenity spaces including lobbies and recreation centers. Christopher is a registered architect and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Pennsylvania State University in 2004.
